Chief Executive Officer

Tony Richards is the architect of the Verifiable Intelligence movement.

With a career spanning nearly four decades, Tony has been at the forefront of every major shift in computing infrastructure. He began his journey in the US Army, building logic-based systems for troop distribution (EDAS), establishing a lifelong commitment to formal logic. He later pioneered early VoIP infrastructure, co-architected High-Frequency Trading engines capable of processing millions of transactions per second at eSpeed/BGC Partners, and designed Fault-Tolerant IoT Gateways for Honeywell.

Tony founded Nandeshou to address the fundamental fragility of modern AI. Rejecting the industry’s acceptance of “hallucinations” and “vibe coding,” he developed the Mushin Architecture: a neuro-symbolic framework that restores engineering rigor to software synthesis.

Tony is a “Builder-CEO”: Nandeshou runs on its own products — Kanshin for identity, AethOS for orchestration, Takumi for software design, and Mushin for synthesis. The bet is that the right verifiable tools let a small expert team ship at a scale that would normally take a much larger one.

Tony’s aim for Nandeshou is deterministic AI: software that is not only generated but checked against the specification it came from, so that what ships can be shown to meet its requirements rather than assumed to. That is the direction the Mushin work is pointed in, and the standard he holds the company’s own products to.
